Could I Be The Sky On The Fourth Of July?

Time to change it up a little and introduce some words. I have a sneaking suspicion that my posts have been fairly dominated by a lack of lyrical content, so what better way to allay this concern than with a delightfully morose tune by none other than Sufjan Stevens. He is a man of wonders is Mr Stevens. First he makes a beautiful sad tune about that kid murderer John Wayne Gacy Jr, then he makes possibly the most chipper sounding song to use the words “we’re all gonna die”. It’s quite a feat. I know lyrically this song is depressing as all hell, but the way it’s done is remarkable.
